creative design to a old industry. The idea of Modern Fan Co fans started in 1986, when Ron Rezek was approached with the concept of applying new ideas to the century old ceiling fan. Ron Rezek graduated with a B.A. and an M.F.A from University of California, Los Angeles. Ron has also taught at UCLA. He ran ceiling fan & lighting showrooms in Los Angeles and New York. In 1970, he also created a new lifeguard rescue device using rotational molded polypropylene. It is the well known orange buoy held under the arm of a lifeguard, familiar to beach-goers everywhere, as well as fans of the international hit show Baywatch. His designs reflect "simplicity in form and economy in production", as said by the Modern Fan Co Bio.

Modern Fan Co Fans are Born

Ron Rezek started the brick and mortar Modern Fan Company in 1997, in Ashland, Oregon. They only make modern ceiling fans. There are no traditional style ceiling fans made there. Since then, their line of modern ceiling fans has been revisited and engineered with you in mind. Since their earlier models, these modern ceiling fans have been made easier to install, more simple to maintain, and more flexible in specification. These fans bear modern fan finishes, geometric forms, and mechanical simplification.

Modern Fan Company has many fans that can give your room a modern feel. The newest models include the Pharos Fan, with rings around the light to eliminate glare. Also new is the Lapa Fan, which can hug the ceiling with the optional hugger ceiling fan adapter.
