We installed it ourselves on our front porch. The fan is very quiet and of very high quality! The website photo depicting distressed white, as well as the photo on the manufacturer's box both appeared much whiter than the product's actual beige color. It still worked in our situation but the uniqueness of the design and the quality were the main resaons why we kept it!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
