My licensed electrician had a hard time putting this fan in because the transmitter is so large it doesn't fit easily in the top housing. He ended up having to use the longer downrod. The uplight is not as bright as I had hoped for the wattage. So overall I have a fan/light that is not as close to the ceiling as I had hoped it would be and not as bright as I hoped, but the motor is very quiet and it reverses easily. The wall control is easy to use and the fan definitely moves alot of air. It's not quite was I was looking for, but might be perfect for you.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
