Comments about Minka-Aire F803-DK, Artemis Distressed Koa 58:
I wanted a sleek, contemporary, minimalist look for a 15x36 kitchen/living room with angled ceilings. Two fans look great and seem to cover the area well. My contractor had no problems installing them. I have the koa finish, so the light is more ambient than task, but I can read under it. I want smaller, white fans for my bedrooms, so am considering by other Minka-Aire fans for those rooms.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have this fan in my smaller living room with lower ceilings(open to common areas) about 200 sq ft and I love it. With the light inset into the fan it wont provide a ton of light but my ceilings also force that effect. A higher ceiling would probably allow more spread. The amber glass will provide a glow not a high power task light. This fan is silent on all speeds and everyone that visits compliments this fan. The detail is amazing and even touching the blades you may question what the material is (plastic). I use this everyday, with my AC. Being that the room has lower ceilings the airflow is a little lower.
