I am very happy with this fan. In fact I ordered a second one in white, for another room, and I will probably order two more in the future. It is extremely quiet.The three blades are wider then my previous fan and also shorter then the previous but it moves the air better. On the low speed I hear nothing, on higher speeds I can just hear the sound of the air moving, there is no sound of the moving parts. The truth is, the lowest speed is good enough, this fan REALLY MOVES THE AIR. Its heavy coming out of the box, but no problem for my Husband, and it has a helpful installation hook acting as a 'third" hand. I bought this shape because it has less places for dust to settle. It looks big coming out of the box, but on the ceiling it is fine. I would have preferred a little more light out put, this is adequate , but.. I am also waiting for some more fans to be available with strong LED lamps.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
