This has to be the easiest fan I have ever installed, and I did it by myself. Nearly everything about the fan is very well thought out and stylish. The operation is quiet and the fan is solid even at its maximum speed. However, the 100 halogen bulb, which sounds impressive, is a HUGE HUGE HUGE dissappointment. My old light fixture was simply two 52 watt florescent bulbs and a screw on ancient frosted shade but it did a vastly better job of lighting the room. Unfortunately, the last thing you install during the process is the lamp and by that point taking the entire fan down and packing everything up to be returned seemed like too much effort. I assumed that since my old fixture was basically a 100 watt bulb, this new halogen 100 watt would be at least be as bright but its seems more like a 40 watt bulb. Given the price I expected more and would not recommend this fan to anybody who will depend on it for light. If however you only want to use the fan i think its great.

The electrician said the fans were easy to install and put up three. Love fact they hug ceiling so do not hang low to obstruct a smaller space. My only wish is that the Concept II should come in a larger size (56-58"), as the 52" fan looks a bit small for the size of my living room. My thought is a ceiling fan should be as least intrusive as possible and block the view...and this one is very stylish and fits that order. I highly recommend. The remote control system is ridiculously easy to figure out, and you don't need to have wall switches installed; simply mount the remote control holder on wall and voila!
