    This fan looks modern but not over-the-top unusual. I have it in my small dining area and it looks great. The speeds are very fast and powerful, which is fine in the South Texas summer. I did not install it, my husband did, so I can't speak to the ease of installation, but I did not hear any complaints. The only con for me is the light that eminates from it is kind of harsh, strong, and concentrated. It definitely is not a ambiance type of light kit. I would recommend a soft bulb inside the globe.
