I needed a 44" outdoor, wet-rated, flush mount ceiling fan with a light that did not hang more than 16" from ceiling (this one hangs < 12"). I also wanted wood grain blades and nickel or stainless vs. gold or copper (this one is brushed nickel). After going to several home improvement stores and many web-searches my choice was narrowed to this fan. It was installed today and appears to be the perfect choice. It does not rock, it is quiet, fan-direction is reversible, perfect size, it can be dimmed, 3 speed fan, and extremely important, it is attractive. Being on the front porch to my house that is very important to me. The cost was more than double the others but like most things that cost more : the quality shines through. I am already getting compliments and people are asking where I got it. I am very pleased with this product.

we installed this in a familyroom in a summer home, it runs all day and night circulating the air, nice and quiet and I love the fact it hugs the ceiling.I was a little worried about the plastic blades looking plastic, but you do not notice that they are plastic,they match the color of our floor.
