Perfect styling but minor design flaws.

Comments about Quorum 70443-8, Nikko Studio White Flush Mount 44" Ceiling Fan with Light & Wall Control:
Needed a ceiling fan that was very low profile. This was the lowest I could find - full 2+ inches lower than any other, including ones without a light. Wanted contemporary styling and all white. This has both. Perfect styling. Fan blade arms mount just a smidge too close to motor housing so that there was a scraping sound. I was able to add felt as a spacer to where the arms bolted on and stopped the noise. The motor has a low hum. Not overwhelming but definitely noticeable in a silent room. Not noticeable if you are watching TV, listening to music, etc. Broke a set screw on light housing during install. The screw just wouldn't turn. Hold OK with only two screws but bad design. Not sure if I can get a replacement housing.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect for our small livingroom

About Me Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
We were looking for a low profile fan with light that's not ugly, intrusive, or noisy for a small livingroom. This one fit the bill, and bonus is that it moves the air (3 speeds) gently so that it doesn't dry your eyes out. The control panel is also ery nice, and installation was quite straightforward. Perfect for our needs!
Great flush mount ceiling fan!

Our guest room has a typical 8 foot ceiling. The way it is laid out, people walk right under the fan (it is not over the trundle bed), so we needed a flush mount fan. This one works great! It is a nice neutral design, so it doesn't detract from the decor. The light is on a dimmer which goes all the way down to a night light level of brightness. It doesn't get real bright when turned all the way up - certainly bright enough to dress and read, but not really bright enough to do things like cross stitch or put on makeup. Not really a big deal, but a minor draw back.
