    We have this fan in my daughter's room. Still works like a champ after a year. She runs it just about every night when the weather warms up. I needed a low profile with a light for our 8' ceilings and this fan with the low profile light added was the shallowest I could find. It's reasonably quite even at high speed. The light could be a little brighter, but the wattage was stated, so my expectations weren't too high.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
