Energy Star Ceiling Fans - Save Up To 50% Off

Energy Star ceiling fans help you save money without sacrificing features, style, or comfort. These fans cost only pennies a day to run and they allow you to raise your thermostat as much as 10° and still have the same comfort without using as much electricity. Energy Star rated ceiling fans are 20% more energy efficient than standard fans.

ENERGY STAR Ceiling Fans

ENERGY STAR ceiling fans stand apart from regular ceiling fans. Not only does ENERGY STAR fans save money when it is running, but also saves money on the overall electric bill. It does this by reducing the usage of the air conditioner either by not having to use it all or by allowing it to be run only occasionally. The use of energy saving ceiling fans does not decrease the level of performance or quality either.

Energy efficient ceiling fans can be purchased with or without lighting fixtures. Changing light bulbs won’t have to be done as frequently and systems use more improved designs and motors. This type of lighting lasts a long time and is efficient, up to 50% more efficient, meaning utility savings can be more than $15.00 a year per energy star ceiling fan. ENERGY STAR fans must meet guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as with all ENERGY STAR products. Those products have exceptional features and still use less energy than their counterparts.

On top of the ceiling fans energy star saving, there is the fact that they also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which protects the environment. Energy efficient fans that have the better blades and motors are three to nine times more efficient than the worst fans. An ENERGY STAR fan will most likely be quieter as well. The efficiency of the highest airflow at each speed level should be noted when purchasing. Look for the CFM/wattage on the box.

For the most efficient use of a ENERGY STAR ceiling fan in the summer, a ceiling fan should be set so the blades rotate air downward into the room so as to create a breeze. In the winter, they should turn the opposite direction to draw air up. This will move warm air down into the room more evenly dispersing it to the floor. Look for a switch near the motor above the blades. It is also helpful to have a down-rod if dealing with tall ceilings. The fan should be closer to the residents for airflow to be the most effective.
