Which is the best-sized fan for the average patio, veranda, or pergola? While some may prefer the larger models, consumers in the know select 44 inch outdoor ceiling fans or those going up to 50 inches. They do not overwhelm the eye, provide adequate cooling, and open the door to a broad range of design choices. For example, 48 inch outdoor ceiling fans may feature dual fan designs. You do not typically see this with a larger model.

Exploring the Decorate Options When Selecting Medium-Sized Fans

There is no such thing as a “standard” design when it comes to 50 inch outdoor ceiling fans. Options include windmill construction or Florida Key motives. Besides that, larger appliance, such as 46 inch outdoor ceiling fans, may come in white, walnut brown, or elegant black. Some also feature metal style elements that could include chrome housing covers or brushed aluminum canopies. Because average outdoor ceiling fans between 44 and 52 inches offer so much versatility, they are a favorite among cooling appliances for patio use.

What should you do if you have a smaller outdoor entertaining area? With small outdoor ceiling fans, you can adjust the temperature of even a more restrictive space. Besides that, these smaller fans are excellent for indoor-outdoor spaces. For very large or sunny decks, outdoor ceiling fans between 52 and 60 inches would be the better choice.
