Does your home’s exterior décor favor a Southwestern look? Spanish style outdoor lighting fixtures look perfectly in place. Their ironwork and bold colors work well with stucco and tiles. In addition, Spanish outdoor lighting could be perfectly suited to underscore the look of an ornate entrance door. Choose a fixture with a complementing metal color.

Placing Spanish Style Outdoor Lighting

A large number of Spanish and Tuscan outdoor lighting fixtures are intended for post installations. This means that you may have fence or wall elements already in place for mounting them. Besides that, there are larger Spanish outdoor light fixtures that can offset a more massive doorway or entrance arch. It prevents you from having to buy two smaller fixtures. Other Spanish style exterior lights install along a garden path where ornamentation is as much an eye grabber as the flowers you planted there.

Should you select clear or frosted glass for the fixtures? As a general rule of thumb, outdoor light fixtures with frosted glass do not require as much maintenance as those with clear glass shades. Also, if you like a more subdued type of illumination, the frosted shade accommodates that. However, Spanish lighting with clear glass shades is fantastic for showing off the intricacies of any metal ornamentation.
